Amit Varma’s aggressive, unbeaten 80 (58b, 7x4, 5x6) guided State Bank of Mysore (Bangalore) to a four-wicket win over Income Tax in the all-India YSCA Trophy cricket tournament on Friday.

The winning side qualified for the semifinals.

In the last-four duels at the M.A. Chidambaram stadium on Saturday, State Bank of Mysore takes on Vijaya Bank while IOB meets BPCL (Kochi).

IOB defeated SBT by six wickets — A. G. Pradeep made a 43-ball 64 not out — to win all its three matches. Off-spinner Malolan Rangarajan came up with a five-wicket haul to give India Cements a 16-run victory over Young Stars for a consolation win for the fancied side.

SBT (Tvm) 178 for nine in 30 overs (Rakesh 52, Vinan G. Nair 73, Achutha Rao three for 20) lost IOB 180 for four in 29.2 overs (A.G. Pradeep 64 n.o., Vasanth Saravanan 46) Points: IOB 4; SBT 0.

The match between Vijaya Bank (Bangalore) and BPCL (Kochi) was called off due to inclement weather. The teams received two points each .
