HYDERABAD: Former India captain Victor Amalraj was one of the invitees for the Asian Football Confederation `C' Licensing coaching award course organised in Puducherry.

Amalraj, who works as Manager in FCI (Public Relations), informed that 23 coaches attended the 15-day course.

The results will be declared shortly after the final scrutiny at AFC, Malaysia.

Icthalon sports meet

Icthalon, a 4-day all-India inter-college annual sports meet will be conducted from October 21. Competitions will be held in football, cricket, basketball, volleyball and athletics.

SAAP chairman M.S. Raj Takur will inaugurate while Dr.V. Panduranga Rao, VC, ICFAI University, will preside. All competitions will be held at Lal Bahadur Stadium. About 200 colleges will vie for honours.

Easy win for HPS `B'

HPS Begumpet scored a 41-run win against Bhegas High School in the Parle Cup under-17 cricket tournament here.

The scores: HPS Begumpet 193 (Akshay 69, Anurag Haridas 40, Gaurav four for 34) bt Bhegas HS 152 for eight (Manish Jain 32, Pranav three for 15).

Knockout phase

Hyderabad Cricket Association informs that the knockout phase of Parle Cup will commence from October 25. The draw copy is displayed on the notice board at Gymkhana Grounds.
