Air India registered its second straight win in the quarterfinal league of the Coal India 116th Beighton Cup hockey tournament here on Monday. Air India beat South Central Railway 4-3 in a Group B match to enter the semifinals.

Air India led 3-0 at one stage before the Railwaymen struck twice. However, Air India scored the fourth to enjoy a two-goal cushion. Though SCR made it 4-3, Air India held firm to prevail.

Group A: RCF (Kapurthala) 6 (Gurpreet Singh 20 & 38, Sanjay Bir 25 & 32, Gagandeep Singh 46, Karanpal Singh 56) bt Canara Bank 4 (Naveen Patel 16, John Varghese 17, K.P. Dinesh 23, Bipin Bopaiah 48).
