Thiruvananthapuram: The Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (LNCPE), Kariavattom, will select sportspersons for its STC (Sports Training Centre) and COE (Centre of Excellence) schemes for the academic year 2010-11.

The admission is open to sportspersons in athletics, cycling, taekwondo, swimming, gymnastics, handball, volleyball (girls) and kabaddi in residential and non-residential schemes.

Admission for non-residential scheme is restricted to gymnastics, handball, tennis and kabaddi and preference will given to those residing near to the LNCPE campus.

Sportspersons wishing to enrol in STC scheme should be between 14 and 18 years of age and those in the COE scheme they should be between 17 and 25 years of age.

Only those who have represented the state or the country are eligible to part of the COE scheme and applications from employed sportspersons will accepted for this scheme.

Sportspersons applying for admission to volleyball should have a minimum height of 170 cms.

Those interested may apply to the principal, LCNPE with all relevant documents.
