V. Abraham scored an unbeaten 101 (10x4, 1x6) to lead holder Visakhapatnam Port Sports Council (VPSC) to a five-wicket win over Gajuwaka Greens in the semifinals of the 19th The Hindu Trophy annual prize money cricket tournament here on Thursday.

VPSC will meet former winner Metro CC in Saturday's final. Metro CC scampered home with three wickets to spare in an interesting semifinal against Srikakulam , thanks to K. Harikrishna and D. Siva Kumar.

Earlier, B. Sudha Kiran claimed four wickets and T. Atchyuta Rao and N.J.S.R. Prasad picked up two each to restrict Srikakulam DCA to 173. While K. Borrayya and K. Rajeev scored half-centuries, VPSC's Hemal Vatekar and V.V. Raman pegged down Greens to 204. Abraham paced his and his team's innings to reach the target, while G. Chiranjeevi scored a crucial 40.

The scores: Semifinals: Gajuwaka Greens 204 in 49.5 overs (K. Borrayya 52, K. Rajeev 51, Siva Koti 32, H. Vatekar four for 42, V.V. Ramana three for 30) lost to VPSC 208 for five in 46 overs (V. Abraham 101 n.o., G. Chiranjeevi 40, V. Manoj Sai three for 34).

Srikakulam DCA 173 in 49.5 overs (A. Meghanath 33, Vamsi 30, M. Praneeth 30, B. Sudha Kiran four for 30) lost to Metro CC 177 for seven in 38 overs (K. Harikrishna 77, D. Siva Kumar 33, Tirupati Rao three for 61). — Special Correspondent
