Third paragraph of a report “Samajwadi Party to review relations with Congress” (Delhi Edition, December 16, 2009) said that Samajwadi Party lost the Ferozepur Lok Sabha by-election to the Congress recently. It should have been Firozabad.

West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee bids farewell to West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi and Mrs. Tara Gandhi at the Raj Bhawan in Kolkata on Sunday and not Monday as mentioned in the photocaption that accompanied the report “Gandhi bids adieu, Konwar takes charge (North India/Kolkata Edition, December 15, 2009). It was an editing error.

The heading and the text of a report “Manipur remembers the brave women of 1891 revolt” (December 13, 2009) incorrectly said that the year of Women’s war (locally known as Nupi Lan) in Manipur as 1891 instead of 1939.
