>>In “Untouchability eradication oath administered to officials” (Jan. 31, 2013, some editions), the opening paragraph read: “Inter-religious prayers, seminars and administering untouchability eradication oath marked the Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations …” Actually, the events marked the Martyr’s Day .

>>A sentence in “Locked in U.N. files, 15 years of bloodletting at LoC” (Jan. 30, 2013, continuation of front-page report) read: “The most savage cross-LoC violence Indian forces are alleged to have participated in was the killing of 22 civilians at the village of Bandala, in the Chhamb sector, on the night of November 26-27,1998 .” It should have been March 26-27,1998 .

>>The report, “Bicycle industry wants withdrawal of excise duty” (Jan. 29, 2013, Business page), has a quote attributed to Prakash Munjal , President, All-India Cycle Manufacturing Association and Co-Chairman & Managing Director, Hero Cycles. It should have been Pankaj Munjal .

>>A sentence in “Speaking truth always” (Jan. 24, 2013, Religion column) read: “The Kaurava army was led by Drona, after the death of Bhishma on the battlefield …” It should have been after the “ fall of Bhishma ” - not death , as a reader pointed out.

>>In the Sports page report, “Thisara Perera does the star turn for Sri Lanka” (Jan. 29, 2013), the scorecard gave the bowling analysis of T. Perera as 3-0-25-0 . It should have been 3-0-25-1 .
