The report "Vijayant enters final" (October 19, 2006), said that [Chandigarh lad] Vijayant [Malik] had set up a semi-final meeting against Yuki [Bhambri] in the DSCL National sub junior tennis championship at the DLTA Complex at Delhi. It should have been final, as stated in the heading.

In "Hyderabad takes first innings lead" (October 20, 2006), the scores column indicated that Hyderabad was still 12 runs short of Tamil Nadu's total. So, the heading was incorrect, a reader pointed out. It was an editing error. The sentence should have been: "Mohd Shakeer's unbeaten 65 helped Hyderabad to wriggle out of a crisis and stay in the race to grab the vital first innings lead against Tamil Nadu ... ." The words "stay in the race to grab" had been edited out.

In "Windies holds it nerves" (October 19, 2006), the scoreboard said West Indies total 234 fall of wickets ... 6-236. Also two batsmen were not out, says a reader. The scoreboard should have said 6-233.
