  • The caption of the accompanying photograph in a report “Bandh hits life in West Bengal” (Some early editions, June 6, 2008) was “Aftermath of the Hike: The Howrah Bridge in Kolkata wears a deserted look during a 12-hour bandh called by the West Bengal Left Front in protest against the hike in prices of petroleum products, on Thursday.” It was an editing error, rectified in later editions.
