Senior leaders of the YSR Congress Party said that the people of the State are watching with ‘disgust' as to how the Congress and the TDP leaders were competing with each other to malign the image of late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and thwart his son Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy's political career.

Leaders such as Ambati Rambabu, Konda Surekha, Konda Murali, B. Karunakara Reddy, Gattu Ramachandra Rao, Rehman (MLC), Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Roja, Lakshmi Parvathi were addressing a meeting after opening the party office here on Saturday.

They said the Congress has become ‘TDP-Congress' and people who are watching all the ‘drama' would teach both the parties a fitting lesson at the right time.

The YSR Congress Party's flag was hoisted on the new office premises. The top leaders of the party said that irrespective of whether the Congress and the TDP fought the Kadapa and Pulivendula by-elections together or separately, YSR Congress Party was all set to win the two seats ‘hands down'. The recent MLC-LAC election where the party candidate trounced the official Congress nominee was a forerunner to the by-elections and the 2014 polls also, they said.

They said that their party would soon formulate their policies and organisational elections at the mandal and district levels would follow. P. Pratap Reddy, former president of the Tirupati City Congress spoke.
