Rainfall

The axis of Monsoon trough at Sea level chart passes through Ganganagar, Gurgaon, Orai and thence southeast-wards. 

RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places over Uttarakhand, at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places over rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: (3 cm and above) HARYANA: Dadupur 5, Hissar 4 and Chandigarh Airport, Julana and Chhachhrauli 3 each, HIMACHAL PRADESH: Jogindernagar 11, Bajaura 6, Manali 4 and Paonta 3, PUNJAB: Tarantaran and Moga 4 each and Dayalpura and Shahpur Kandi 3 each, EAST RAJASTHAN: (5 cm and above) Sabla 13, Galiakot 9, ChhotiSadri and Vallabhnagar 8 each, Udaipur 7, Patan and Girva 6 each and Jawaja, Baran, Badesar, Sagwara, Mandana, Railmogra, Rajsamand and Jhadol 5 each, WEST RAJASTHAN: Osian 5, Marwar, Raipur and Sojat 4 each and Bilara, Jayal and Desuri 3 each, EAST UTTAR PRADESH: Katerniaghat 9 and Shahabad 3, WEST UTTAR PRADESH: Bareilly and Deoband 7 each, Saharanpur 4 and Puranpur 3 and UTTARAKHAND: Bambasa 7, Mussorrie 6, Tharali and Dehradun 4 each and Landsdown and Tehri 3 each.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places over Uttarakhand 19th and 20th July. Heavy rainfall may occur at one or two places over east Uttar Pradesh on 19th and 20th . Heavy rainfall would occur at one or two places on 19th and heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur at one or two places on 20th over west Uttar Pradesh . Heavy rainfall would occur at one or two places over Himachal Pradesh and Haryana on 20th July.

  FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 20th July 2013 : Rain/thundershowers may occur at many places over Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan. Rain/thundershowers may occur at a few places over Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana (including Chandigarh and Delhi) during next 24 hours and increase thereafter.

Rain/thundershowers may occur at one or two places over west Rajasthan.

FORECAST FOR DELHI AND NEIGHBOURHOOD VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 20th July 2013: Generally cloudy sky. Light rain/thundershowers would occur in some areas.
