Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are prevailing in some parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall : Weather was dry over the region.

MINIIMUM TEMPERATURES: The minimum temperatures changed little over the region. They were appreciably below normal in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, above normal in west Rajasthan and normal in rest of the region.  The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was -0.5ºC recorded at Najiabad (Uttar Pradesh).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 13th JANUARY 2013: Rain/snow would occur at one or two places in Jammu and Kashmir during next 24 hours and increase thereafter. Rain/snow may occur at one or two places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from tomorrow onwards. Weather would be mainly dry over rest of the region.

WARNING: Cold wave conditions would over in some parts of Uttar Pradesh during next 48 hours.

Ground frost may occur in isolated pockets of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh during next two nights.

FORECAST FOR DELHI AND NEIGHBOURHOOD VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 13th JANUARY 2013: Mainly clear sky. Mist/Shallow fog in the morning.
