Rainfall
Cold day conditions are prevailing at isolated pockets of Punjab. Cold wave conditions are prevailing over some parts of east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated pockets of west Rajasthan.
Rain/snow has occurred at many places over Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry over rest of the region.
MINIIMUM TEMPERATURES: The minimum temperatures changed little over the region. They were markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in west Rajasthan and Uttarakhand and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 0.6ºC recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL THE MORNING OF 1st JANUARY 2013: Rain/snow would occur at one or two places over Jammu and Kashmir during next 24 hours and mainly dry weather thereafter. Weather will be mainly dry over rest of the region. Fog conditions would occur in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh during morning hours.
