Dry weather in Andhra Pradesh

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Kochi airport recorded a heavy rainfall of 8 centimetres.

Cold wave conditions prevailed over parts of Rayalaseema and parts of interior Karnakata.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, north interior Tamil Nadu, fell at a few places over rest interior Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over north interior Karnataka and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were largely below normal at one or two places over Rayalaseema, south iterior Karnataka, markedly below normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, north interior Tamil Nadu and appreciably below normal at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over rest north interior Karnataka below normal at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, Telangana, rest Tamil Nadu, rest coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Chamrajnagar recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 7 degree celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (Valid until Saturday morning): Isolated rain may occur over south Tamil Nadu, south Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, north Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Outlook For Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.
