The yearlong celebrations to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda across the State will commence from Saturday, said retired judge of the Supreme Court Shivaraj Patil, who is also the honorary president of the Swami Vivekanada 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration Committee, Karnataka.

Speaking to presspersons here on Thursday, Mr. Shivaraj Patil said: “Yuva Bharat will have activities for the youth while Samvardhini is targeted at women. Prabuddha Bharat seeks to involve leaders and opinion builders from all walks of life and Gramayan will include activities for village residents while Asmita will have programmes in which tribal people will participate.”

The programmes include yoga, quiz and essay contests.
