: Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi on Saturday said that he had asked the Indian Embassy to provide the list of agents who had recruited manpower for Kuwait in the light of the Kuwaiti government’s action against visa violations that led to arrests of many Indians.

Reacting to news reports on the issue, Mr. Ravi told The Hindu over telephone from New Delhi that he suspected that a big fraud had been committed against innocent job-seekers.

It was in this context that he had asked for the list of recruitment agents who were responsible for sending these hapless job-seekers. He said he had directed the Chief Ministers to initiate legal proceedings, including criminal cases against erring recruitment agents.
