The sacred Tirumala shrine of Lord Venkateswara on Thursday witnessed a flow in the VIPs for the darshan of the presiding deity.

Governor E.S.L. Narassimhan and his West Bengal counterpart M.K. Naryanan reached the town on Thursday evening. The Tirumala based TTDs Joint Executive Officer K.S. Srinivasa Raju accorded them a warm reception on their arrival at the Padmavathi guesthouse.

Later both the Governors offered prayers at the hill temple in the night. When contacted TTDs Dy.EO (R1) Venkataiah said that both the Governors are also expected to participate in the weekly Abhishekam of the presiding deity performed in the small hours of Friday. They also offered prayers at the temple of goddess Padmavathi ammavaru at Tiruchanoor.

Among others who offered prayers at the hill temple include the former Union Minister Renuka Choudary and Minister from the State Kanna Lakshminarayana.
