Tripura has surged ahead of Kerala to achieve the top position in the literacy chart of India. It fell short of becoming a fully-literate State, but as of date its literacy stands at 94.65 per cent compared with Kerala’s 93.91 per cent. “Our goal is 100 per cent literacy.
