Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) alone can help Vanniyars, the most backward group, to come up in the fields of education and employment, said Dr. S Ramadoss, PMK founder leader.

Addressing the party's youth training session at Mecheri, falling under the Mettur Assembly segment on Sunday, Dr. Ramadoss said that each youth must come forward to support PMK, which he said had struggled for the welfare of Vanniyars. Asking them not to fall prey to the exploits of political parties, he said that Tamil Nadu should not go behind the heroes of celluloid world.

Youth wing leader and former Union Minister Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss said that all villages should have PMK presence.

He said that he would soon undertake village tours to assess the situation and the presence of PMK. Party president G K Mani and other leaders spoke. The meeting would be followed by another one at Mettur.
