SALEM: A two-week-long workshop on effective teaching and learning of computer programme, delivered through the two-way broadcast facility using EDUSAT, began at Sona College of Technology here recently.
All the lectures are delivered by the faculty of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, using the EDUSAT network provided by the Indian Space Research Organisation.
Over 70 faculty from various parts of the State are attending the workshop, which is a remote centre for the EDUSAT facility. All the participating teachers would later contribute collaboratively to the content creation. The final edited audio-visual contents including recorded lectures along with other course materials created would be released in open source through a web portal. This can be freely used later by all teachers and students, a release here has said.
The programme is an initiative, taken by IIT Bombay under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technologies, Union Ministry of Human Resource and Development.
