CHENNAI: For budding photographers, it was time to hone their skills at the NXg Shutterbugs workshop, which was inaugurated here on Tuesday. Organised by The Hindu NXg in association with Konica Colour Lab and Studio, the five-day workshop, which is being conducted by D. Krishnan, Photo Editor, The Hindu, received an overwhelming response. With a limited number of seats available, only a handful were chosen to attend the workshop.

Nirmala Lakshman, Joint Editor, The Hindu, formally inaugurated the workshop and after thanking the event’s sponsor J.P. Acharya, Managing Partner, Nippon Enterprises South, the proceedings got under way. The event is being held at Konica’s office, Sterling Silver, Nungambakkam. The workshop would cover basics of photography, the techniques and terms and most importantly, hands-on learning with the camera, where the participants would learn to shoot pictures outdoors and portraits as well. On one of the days, the participants would be divided into two groups and be taken to different areas in the city to shoot pictures. Gifts are being sponsored by Mehta Jewellery and Radio One is the radio partner.
