Over 500 employees go on mass casual leave

KRISHNAGIRI: Work in Revenue Department in Krishnagiri and Dhramapuri was paralysed on Tuesday as employees took mass casual leave to press their demands. Over 500 employees went on mass casual leave.

Demands

Their 14-point charter of demands include filling up vacancies and also increasing the number of posts proportionate to their workload.

In Krishnagiri, over 275 went on leave, according to G. Saravana Bhavan, District President, Revenue Officials’ Association.

In Dharmapuri, barring 6 employees, over 230 employees went on leave, said A. Natarajan, Dharmapuri District President of the Association.

Deserted look

Due to the mass casual leave Collectorates, Taluk offices, District Revenue Offices, Revenue Divisional Offices, Special Divisional Revenue Offcie (land acquisition) departments in both the districts wore a deserted look.
