Nagercoil: The district unit of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazagham has condemned the transfer of four doctors from Kanyakumari Government Medical College. According to former Health Minister and State general secretary of Jayalalithaa Peravai N.Thalavai Sundaram there were more than 25 vacant posts, including physicians, in the medical college. Some members of the management of the college were allegedly accepting bribes and misbehaving with other doctors and employees. The affected doctors informed the AIADMK about the irregularities going on in the medical college.

In the meantime, instead of taking steps to fill up the vacancies (doctors) three of them were transferred to Dharmapuri and another doctor to Vellore.
