VELLORE: Wipro has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VIT University here on Thursday.

Pradeep Bahirwani, Vice-President-Talent Acquisition, Wipro Technologies and G. Viswanathan, Chancellor of the University signed the MoU on behalf of the respective institutions. The MoU is meant to take Wipro’s collaboration with the VIT to the next level.

According to a VIT release, the MoU envisages a set of planned activities and interactions addressing various stakeholders, namely, students, faculty and the management.

These activities and interactions include faculty development programmes, technical sponsorships and students’ workshops. One of the programmes is a student workshop that is structured with the primary goal of emphasizing the importance of creative thinking that is paramount to success in the corporate world today.

Mr. Pradeep Bahirwani said that the objective of the MoU is to build industry-academia relationship and empower students to gear up to the challenges of the corporate world.

Mr. Viswanathan thanked Wipro for all the assistance and cooperation and expressed his wish for continued understanding between the two organisations.
