Swedish company Winova has launched a range of its bacteria-free solutions for domestic use in India.

Philip Wilhelmsson, Managing Director of Winova Technology AB, told presspersons here on Friday that the company had operations in four countries — Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the U.K. and was expanding to India. It was launching its products in Thailand too. With high market potential in India and Thailand, it planned to develop more products here. The company was developing green chemicals for the last four decades. The industrial products were for treatment of water in hotels, swimming pools, etc. The retail products included alcohol-free hand sanitisers, floor cleaners, baby products and mosquito repellents. It would launch more products in the Indian market soon.

Venkatesh Sivaraman of Shivrams Associates said that Winova and Shivrams have joined hands to launch a joint venture Winova Enterprises in India. The company would sell Winova products through distributors. It had appointed six distributors in Coimbatore and Erode districts and by the end of the year would expand operations across the country. The solutions were imported and bottled in India and the plant had capacity for 1,500 to 2,000 bottles a day. This would be increased to 10,000 in a year. Industrial solutions would be launched by the end of the year.
