Bharathiya Janata Party's Chairman candidate for Hosur Municipality and veterinary expert, Dr. N. Varadarajan, has said if elected, he will take steps to desilt the lakes in Hosur town, introduce boat houses and make the water bodies entertainment spots for Hosur citizens.

This would also improve the ground water situation in around Hosur, he claimed. He would also work to link three hilltop shrines, including the Chandrasoodeswarar Temple, with ropeways to attract tourists.

He would try and set up a Government Arts and Science College, and clean up central bus stand. Mr. Varadarajan also promised to replace all kutcha roads with black-top ones and take up repair work of roads in suburbs that were part of the Municipality. His administration would be corruption-free, he said.
