CHENNAI: Totting her backpack, Dora — the Explorer was in the city on Saturday to discover Chennai and interact with a big bunch of excited children.

The cute 7-year-old character from Nick played games like Spot the Difference, Fix the Dora Cut-Out and Memory Game at Landmark, Citi Centre.

The children, who instantly warmed up to Dora, shook hands with her, posed for photographs, hugged her and played with her.

Dora also gave away a lot of presents, including Dora games and puzzles, Magic Bag, and Nick Party, said a press release here.

Along with her best friend Boots, Dora appears on Nick from Monday to Friday at 11 a.m. She teaches children to observe situations and solve problems. While she goes on her adventures, Dora also helps the audience learn English words and good manners. The interactive show also encourages viewers to respond to Dora, who teaches them mathematics, music and physical coordination.

After Chennai, Dora will travel to Bangalore, Lucknow, Gurgaon and Mumbai.
