CHENNAI: To clear extra rush of passengers, Southern Railway is running a weekly special train between Chennai Egmore and Nagercoil from July 4 to August 24.

The train (0611) will leave Chennai Egmore at 11.15 pm on all Fridays from July 4 to August 22 and reach Nagercoil at 2.15 pm the next day.

In the return direction train (0612) will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 pm on all Sundays from July 6 to August 24 and arrive at Chennai Egmore at 4.15 am the next day. The composition of the train will be one AC 2-tier, 14 sleeper class, 5 general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The train will halt at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaruvathur, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchirappalli, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Tirunelveli and Valliyur. The train (0612) will stop at Mambalam also. Advance reservation commences on July 4.
