About 150 scientific models developed by students of 110 schools were displayed at the Ariyalur education district-level science exhibition held at the Nirmala Girls Higher Secondary School here on Tuesday.

The exhibition is organised jointly by the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology and the State School Education Department.

The students had displayed scientific models on the topics of science and technology, water management, health and lifestyle, non-conventional energy sources, protection of natural resources, increasing forest cover, mathematics, and sports.

The Collector urged the students to try to win such laurels.

He said 10 top models would be given a cash award of Rs. 1,000 each.
