The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary School Vocational Teachers Kazhagam has thanked Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, School Education Minster N.R. Sivapathi, Principal Secretary, Department of School Education, D. Sabitha, Director of School Education K. Devarajan, Joint Director of Vocational Education Muthu. Palanichamy and all Chief Educational Officers (CEOs) for issuing one-mark question books to all 50,000 Plus-Two vocational students for accountancy and auditing, textile technology and auto mechanic.

In a statement, S.N. Janardhanan, State general secretary of the association, said in the process of modifying the question paper pattern for the above subjects, the Directorate of Government Examinations failed to issue books containing subject-wise questions under the new pattern to students. The association had said in a petition to the government that not issuing one-mark question books under the new syllabus would affect the students. In response to the petition, the Director of School Education issued a circular to all CEOs to issue the books. The CEOs acted expeditiously and distributed question books to all students.
