Tuticorin: Two students of Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology in Virudhunagar — G. Suganya and Suchitra Ramachandran — won a cash prize of Rs. 1,000 and a trophy for having secured first place at an inter-collegiate quiz programme at Fisheries College and Research Institute (FCRI), Tuticorin, a constituent College of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.

Students of A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College, Tuticorin, and Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal, bagged the second and third prizes respectively. M. Sakthivel, Associate General Manager, Human Resources, Sterlite Copper Limited, Tuticorin, the chief guest, distributed prizes. V.K. Venkataramani, Dean, FCRI, presided over the programme and delivered the presidential address.

He said that FCRI was organising a series of quiz programmes to enhance the intellectual capacity of students for the past 26 years through the Literary Association of the college.
