DINDIGUL: Traffic was disrupted for two hours on Dindigul-Karur highway at Sellamandhadi on Friday due to picketing by villagers who demanded action against those who attacked a house in their village on Thursday night.

Personal enmity between two persons — Prabhu Munusamy of Sellamandhadi and Nagaraj of Kulathur —over sale of “poor quality of sand” led to the attack. Prabhu found the quality of sand to be poor and wanted to return the sand. But the seller, Nagaraj, refused to oblige.
