The Vigilance Awareness Week, which was observed in Salem Steel Plant since October 25 came to an end on November 1.

The theme was ‘Generation of awareness and publicity against corruption'. The Executive Director of SSP, Pankaj Gautam, administered the pledge to the employees to continuously strive to bring about integrity and transparency. R Sundaresan, DGM (Vigilance) and ACVO, read out the messages.

Quiz and oratorical competitions in English and Tamil for school students were conducted. 

Students from Sri Vidya Mandir Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Mohan Nagar and Government Higher Secondary Schools of S. Kollapatti, Vedukathanpatty, Murungapatti and T Konagapadi, Sivadapuram and Sri Chinmaya Vidyalaya took part.

Prizes were distributed to winners by B. Vijayaraghavan, GM (Works).

Pallavan Gram Bank also observed vigilance week to create awareness on matters relating to vigilance. Chairman G. Rangarajan presided over the valedictory function in which Superintendent of Police (retd) R. Asokan was the chief guest.
