Police have been granted two days custody of ‘Vasur’ Raja, accused in the murder of V. Aravinth Reddy, medical wing secretary, Tamil Nadu State BJP and president of Indian Medical Association, Vellore branch.

Raja, who was detained in the Vellore Central Prison for Men under Goondas Act in an attempt to murder case, was shifted to the Central Prison in Cuddalore last week. The six persons, who were arrested for the murder of Reddy on October 23, had confessed that Raja had planned the murder from inside the prison. A police official said Raja was produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court-I, Vellore on Wednesday.
