University teachers seek anti-corruption legislation

Members of Association of University Teachers (AUT) observed anti-corruption day on Tuesday, demanding a purposeful anti-corruption national legislation. Wearing black badges, they conducted demonstrations in front of their respective colleges, seeking broad consultations with political parties, trade unions, service organisations and teacher organisations before enactment of the Lokpal Bill. They welcomed the mass upsurge against corruption in the country. The state president of AUT K.Pandiyan led the demonstration at National College here.
