The Best Student Project Award 2012, instituted by TATA Consultancy Services, was given to two students of SASTRA University this year. The award was presented by K. Kesavasamy, Global Head of TCS Academic Interface Programme and Head of TCS, Thiruvananthapuram, at a function held at the SASTRA University on Wednesday.

The award carrying a gold medal each and a sum of Rs.20,000 was given to the winning team of Sri Ravali and Sindhura Jaladhanki B.Tech, Information and Communication Technology final year students for their project titled “Novel Approach for an Automatic Detection of Erythemato-Squamous Diseases”. Their mentor was K. S. Ravichandran, Associate Dean, School of Computing, SASTRA University.

Dr. K.Kesavasamy said that SASTRA has special partnership with TCS.
