Two men from Nazareth charged with murder were held on Friday after a gap of two years, and a motorcycle and a gold chain were recovered from them.

C. Sakthivel (34) of Mani Nagar, and his accomplice S. Selvaraj (28) of Mill Road, were accused of murdering A. Isaac (45) of Mookuperi in Nazareth on October 6, 2011.

Talking to reporters, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime) C.P. Kandasamy said Isaac had borrowed Rs.50,000 from Sakthivel two years prior to his murder. He had promised Sakthivel that he would repay the money on October 6, 2011. But, when Sakthivel and Selvaraj demanded the money on that date, Isaac refused to repay the loan. Suddenly the duo killed Isaac with deadly weapons.
