Tuticorin second in overall pass percentage

The district that produced seven State toppers in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate public examination this year, has registered a pass percentage of 95.42 to secure the second place after Kanyakumari (97.24 per cent).

With a score of 497 out of 500, M.Prabhakaran and N.Sanjay Kumar of Ravilla K.R.A.Vidhyashram Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kovilpatti, have bagged the State second rank. P.Anuja of Sri Sankara Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tiruchendur, V.Divya and G.Karthick of SPIC Nagar Higher Secondary School, Tuticorin, R.Kishore of Ravilla K.R.A.Vidhyashram Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kovilpatti, and S.Renifa Annie of SPIC Nagar Higher Secondary School, Tuticorin, have secured the State third rank with a score of 496.

Topper Prabharkaran’s triplet brothers Manoharan and Hariharan, also students of Ravilla K.R.A.Vidhyashram Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kovilpatti, have scored 490 and 479 respectively. While, Prabhakaran and Annie want to become doctors, all other toppers aspire to be engineers.

Honouring the toppers, Collector Ashish Kumar said their score should motivate them to score more in the Plus Two examination.
