A Mahila Court is set to commence trial on April 25 in a criminal case filed by Anti-Trafficking Cell, Crime Branch CID, against 13 persons, including 12 transgenders, for allegedly kidnapping and forcing a 19-year-old boy to undergo sex change operation in 2009.

The Anti-Trafficking Cell, CB CID, cited Radha alias Raja and 12 others including a doctor K. Naganna of Andhra Pradesh as accused in the charge sheet. The prosecution alleged that they kidnapped the boy when he was 16-years old from Kovalam, Kancheepuram district in 2006 and took him to Budhhwarpet, Pune, where he was made to beg. Meena Satheesh, Judge adjourned the case for trial on April 25.
