Travel agents in Coimbatore who are affiliated to the IATA and those who are members of the Travel Agents Association of India will down shutters on Tuesday to protest against the way airlines deal with travel agents.

A release from the association said that airlines have stopped paying commission to agents for domestic and international tickets – a move that will deprive the agents of their income.

The release said that the strike in Coimbatore was part of an all-India strike call given by Travel Agents Association of India.
