Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding is conducting a training workshop for officers of the Indian Forest Service on ‘Public Private Partnership: Scope in Forestry' on February 21 and 22.

Objective

A release says that the objective of the training workshop is to sensitise the IFS officers on issues related to Public Private Partnership.

The aim of the training workshop is to explore the scope and possibilities of PPP in various areas under forest sector – management of degraded forest areas, forest protection, plantation forestry, agroforestry, nursery management, tree cultivation in private lands, biodiversity conservation, eco-tourism, environment, non-timber forest produce harvesting, processing and value addition, etc.
