Traffic on the Dhimbam ghat road was affected for more than nine hours after a lorry had a flat tyre on Monday night. Sources said the incident took place when the lorry carrying battery accessories to Kerala was negotiating the 26th hairpin bend of the road. Vehicular movement came to a standstill as the lorry got stranded on the middle of the road. Hundreds of vehicles began piling up on either side of the road.
