Dharmapuri Collector K. Vivekanandan honouring visually impaired student J.B. Yogeswaran, a state second rank holder in Plus Two examination, recently.

J.B. Yogeswaran, a visually-impaired student, scored 1131/1200 in the Plus Two examination held during the academic year 2013-14. He was the second rank holder at the state level among visually-impaired students. He studied at the Seventh Day Adventist Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Dharmapuri.

The student was honoured by Collector K. Vivekanandan recently and was given a digital video magnifier.

Besides him, district toppers among the visually-impaired students in SSLC Yuvan Shankar was given a cash prize of Rs. 3,000, and district toppers in Plus Two Monika was given Rs. 12,000 and second rank holder Isaiarasan was given Rs. 7,500. Vinoth, who stood first among visually-impaired students in Plus Two examination in 2012 in the district, was given Rs. 3000.
