Drivers, conductors and technical crew of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Dindigul-IV) Limited staged a road roko at the Sri Kaliamman Temple junction in Batlagundu demanding action against a private bus driver who had assaulted a TNSTC driver at the bus stand here on Wednesday.

Traffic was paralysed for an hour and vehicles were seen stranded on Batlagundu-Dindigul, Theni-Batlagundu and Batlagundu-Nilakottai main roads. The police rushed to the spot and convinced the protestors to abandon the agitation.

In a complaint lodged with the police, corporation bus driver Cheralathan, charged that a private bus driver had picked up a quarrel with him regarding departure time.
