CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) will conduct public hearing on March 5 to determine the tariff for procurement of energy from non-conventional sources such as wind, biomass and bagasse-based generators.

According to a TNERC release, the public hearing will be held at Narada Gana Sabha, Alwarpet, from 2 pm to 7.30 pm. Those interested persons can download the consultative papers from TNERC website www.tnerc.gov.in or obtain them from the Commission’s office by paying Rs.50 for each consultative paper by way of cash or demand draft.

TNERC has invited interested individuals and organisations to present their views to it during the hearing. The registration will be done between 1 and 2 pm on March 5.
