Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited, Tuticorin, celebrated its 92nd anniversary day here on Monday.

S. Anantha Chandra Bose, Chairman, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust, Tuticorin, was the chief guest. While presiding over the function, K.B. Nagendra Murthy, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the TMB, said the bank has a total business of Rs. 37,225 crore through 350 branches.

On the occasion, children of employees who had excelled in academics were honoured. Besides, 120 persons, including employees and customers of TMB donated blood, S. Selvan Rajadurai, General Manager, Business Development, TMB, said in a press release.

Variety programmes were also staged by the children during the function. Students from various educational institutions also participated in essay writing and elocution competition. Games were also conducted for the staff members. K.N.V. Nayar, former Chairman, Directors of the bank including V.V.D.N. Vikraman, B. Prabaharan, A. Chidambaranathan and S.R. Arvind Kumar attended the function.
