Tiruchi District Central Cooperative Bank has bagged the best performance award at the national level by the National Federation of State Cooperative Banks for 2011-12. Disclosing this at the annual general body meeting of the bank here recently, G.Rajendra Prasad, Joint Registrar of Cooperatives, Tiruchi, said the bank had Rs.1,161 crore as deposits as on March 31, 2012, an increase of Rs.161 crore over the previous financial year, and advances stood at Rs.1787 crore. The bank had targeted to reach Rs.1,500 crore in deposits during 2012-13. For the first time, the bank had given a dividend of 10 per cent to its members.
