As many as 22 property developers have displayed nearly 80 projects
HDFC's “Namma Veedu”, a three-day property fair, took off at Suguna Kalyana Mandapam here on Thursday.
According to S. Ramesh Kumar, Deputy General Manager and Business Head – South Tamil Nadu, as many as 22 property developers have showcased details of nearly 80 projects in and around the city. HDFC organises the fair here once in two years. Eligible applications for housing loans from HDFC submitted during the three days get 50 per cent waiver on processing fee and special interest rates. HDFC also provides an option of three year or five year fixed rate of interest. This offer is valid till the end of this month. “The housing market is steady in Coimbatore,” he says.
With nearly 9,000 employees at the Information Technology (IT) and IT Enabled Services companies in Saravanampatti area, the demand for housing has picked up in that area.
Mathew Joseph, Senior General manager and Regional Business Head – Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, said the property market was doing good in secondary cities such as Coimbatore. The prices were reasonable, properties were available in the city limits, and corporates were moving in to these cities. The fair gave the customers to have a look at several options under one roof in terms of location, prices and projects. This was the fourth edition of the fair in Coimbatore.
There were several villa projects coming up in the city.
Leading property developers in the city are participating at the exhibition, which is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
