The Orleanpet police have arrested three youths and recovered stolen mobile phones from them. The three, all belonging to the age group of 19, have been accused of stealing mobile phones from a showroom opposite the New Bus Stand last week. Yuvaraj, Sakthi and Prabhu, all from Krishnagiri district, were arrested while trying to sell the stolen property to a dealer in Coimbatore.

Yuvaraj did his engineering in a private college at Coimbatore and Sakthi did his B.Sc Computer Science in a college at his native place. Both recently discontinued their studies, police said. Prabhu, friend of Yuvaraj and Sakthi, was working in a private firm here and was staying in a guest house near the showroom from where they took away the mobiles. As many as 51 new mobiles, 36 old mobiles and 220 batteries were recovered from them.
