Hundreds of young and old marched from State Express Transport Corporation bus stand in Gandhipuram to V.O.C. Park grounds on Sunday to create awareness on child sexual abuse.

Anugraha Educational Trust and Anugraha Mandhir Nursery and Primary School as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives organised the rally, ‘Nadapom Sila Nimidangal' in association with Welltexx India Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., Curie Inc., Confederation of Indian Industry, Young Indians, Kumaran Super Market, Rotary Club of Coimbatore, Info Institute of Engineering, The Hindu , UTV, Suryan FM, Bisleri and Photo Centre.

The walk that started at 7 a.m. saw the participation over 3,000 persons. At the VOC Park grounds, actor Radhakrishnan Parthiepan, special guest M.J. Sriram and others addressed the gathering.

Mr. Parthiepan said the responsibility of teaching children to handle child sexual abuse lay with every parent. Representatives of supporting organisations, students from various institutions, Advocate Shankaranarayanan, Rotarians and others participated in the function.
